About PTE Test
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is an English Testing System that is designed to evaluate and assess a non-native English speakers’ readiness. This test is undertaken by non-native English-speaking international students who wish to apply in the English language required curriculum in a foreign university. PTE-A Test Format:
Part 1: Speaking & Writing Test (77 – 93 minutes)
This portion of the test will be assessing your speaking and writing skills in English. To evaluate your English-speaking skills, you will be asked to produce English as you would in an academic environment. For writing, you will be required to write your responses to questions in academic English where you have to use correct grammar.

- Essay (20 mins)
Part 1: Reading (32 – 41 minutes)
This portion of the test will be assessing your reading skills in English. The test takers’ ability in reading, writing and listening to information in English is tested. Different test formats will appear including multiple-choice, re-order paragraphs and fill in the blanks. This part of the test will contain 15-20 independent or integrated items to test the students’ English proficiency and skills.

Part 3: Listening (45 – 57 minutes)

PTE Academic test scores range from the value 0 – 90 with 90 being the highest value of PTE Scoring. 10 – 58 is deemed insufficient for full academic level participating in language activities. Hence, the student might be required to take extra English language courses as extra university curriculum.
